Today I photographed Forest View Chinese Restaurant on Dundas St. Forest View is one of the oldest and best Chinese Restaurants in Toronto. I've ventured into the restaurant on numerous occasions and found that I was keenly interested in not only the food but the atmosphere. The restaurant is full of people who are are dedicated to the restaurant both employees and customers. This restaurant has become a home for a community of people who share in language and history. To me the presence of community within this restaurant makes it a special place to be in.

Yesterday a film I did with Robert Ireland, Robert Lendrum and Drew Ferguson back in 2008 made it's first major screening at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) as part of the Planet in Focus 2010 Film Festival. It was really awesome seeing all the supporters of the film and issues concerning bee keeping in the 21st century. Thanks to everyone who came out and who showed keen interest during the Q and A portion of the screening.

I'm working on a new project about Chinese Restuarants surrounding the suburbs of Toronto. This project is the next chapter to the New Cultural Topographic project.
Here is a behind the scenes look at the project.

I was cleaning my hard drive and came a cross this image that I took a couple of years
ago when I was vacationing in St Lucia. Oh how I long for the warm Caribbean breeze; driving fast on hilly roads.
